West Northam Primary School (PS) is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Manager of Corporate Services to join our team, who has a keen interest in working in a challenging school environment with a diverse student population.

The successful applicant will ideally have the following qualities:
- Expertise and understanding of Human Resource Management principles, concepts and legislation; supervising school support staff and providing performance management processes to support the achievement of agreed operational outcomes.
- Experience and expertise in monitoring and managing staff leave entitlements to ensure accrued leave is cleared within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with relevant awards, agreements and guidelines.
- Financial expertise to undertake school financial and accounting processes in accordance with relevant legislation, financial principles and Department policies; managing the school's business operations and finances; monitoring and reporting on financial planning and budgeting; and assisting with the development of business and marketing plans.
- Expertise and skills to apply the Public Sector framework and Department policies in asset, resources and disposal management; implementing and monitoring effective asset management and maintenance strategies for school facilities, equipment and buildings.
- Expert knowledge and skills to support school ICT plans, projects and activities; providing effective communications and school promotions through the management of the school’s website and Facebook page; and building effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote the school’s image and reputation to support the learning outcomes of students.

The Role
As the Manager of Corporate Services, you will ideally possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills which will assist when working with the leadership team, staff, parents, and the wider community.
You will ideally use sound financial management skills and strategic administration including responsibility for ensuring all audit requirements are followed. The successful applicant should provide consistency for financial planning and budgeting within the school and ideally possess an excellent knowledge of Department Policies and Guidelines.
You should be an experienced administrator, with clear knowledge of how the Manager of Corporate Services role impacts and is guided by the school improvement model. This includes working within the leadership team in a strategic space around the workforce planning and the targeted use of resources.
