We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
At Margaret River SHS the School Officer will play a crucial role in the front office reception and assist in the smooth running of the day to day operations of the school. Essential to this role will be greeting and assisting people at the front desk, attending to phone and email enquiries and the creation and preparation of school promotional materials for publication. The School Officer will also maintain and update the school’s social media accounts, ensuring published content is current, and assist with the development and production of a range of printed and online materials to support activities and events for the school.
The School Officer may also be required to perform other duties, which include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the management of school assets; including overseeing the administration of the use of school facilities and coordinating and negotiating maintenance and repairs
- Maintaining key registers and security system codes.
- Administering school databases, records and management information systems and ensuring they are accurate and up to date.
- Supporting the smooth financial operation of the school by receipting payments, following up on outstanding balances and completing the end of day cash and EFTPOS reconciliation.
- Minute taking and updating the school calendar.
For this role, experience in using Adobe Photoshop and Indesign, managing social media platforms and creating promotional materials such as flyers and booklets, is highly desirable.
