The Role
Along with experienced classroom teachers, Beverley DHS encourages graduate and beginning teachers to apply for this pool who possess a willingness to develop and engage in professional learning in the areas mentioned below that have strong links to the current school business plan. In addition to classroom teaching, suitable applicants will require outstanding interpersonal skills and have an ability to build effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community. Applicants will have a strong ability to collaborate positively and effectively within our whole school approach to teaching and learning. This role requires a committed approach to positive pastoral care, explicit direct instruction and delivery of our school based programs in line with our School Business Plan.
Suitable applicants will ideally possess the knowledge of and ability in, effective teaching of programs aligned with Beverley DHS. A commitment to ongoing self-development through research and professional learning, regarding current evidence-based practice will be highly valued. As will experience, knowledge and practice of explicit direct instruction and classroom observations with a coaching focus.
Being able to provide an enriched, supportive, and engaging classroom environment with a focus on pastoral care, integrated digital technologies and strong behaviour management is highly sought. The year levels required will be dependent on the needs of the school so experience across multiple year levels and teaching split year levels will be advantageous.
As a successful applicant you will have the ability to use data analysis to inform future planning and use this information to respond to individual needs, referral to intervention and, be skilled at creating and supporting effective Individualised Education Program’s (IEP) to ensure all children are achieving their maximum potential.
