Coastal Lakes College is seeking to appoint an experienced, passionate, and collaborative Program Coordinator for our Integrated Learning Program (ILP) to join our dedicated and supportive leadership team. This position would suit (but is not limited to) an experienced primary or secondary:
- Learning Support Coordinator,
- A Coordinator/TIC of an Engagement Program with knowledge of learning support and targeted interventions or
- An aspirant leader with recognised leadership attributes and knowledge and skills in learning support
The Integrated Learning Program
The ILP is a Year 7-10 pathway program that is tailored to support successful outcomes for students who are below the benchmark in literacy and numeracy and who have learning support needs. The program caters for approximately 80 students who engage in differentiated teaching and learning programs across all Mindsets, Essential Skills, and Habits (MESH) areas and targeted literacy and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) interventions to promote successful academic, social-emotional and personal growth outcomes.

The Role
Strategic Role
As the Program Coordinator of the ILP you will play a key role in assisting the School Executive Team in building and sustaining an inclusive culture across the College. You will lead and implement innovative and contemporary learning support practices to facilitate successful outcomes for students in the ILP, that could also be implemented across the College for students with identified learning support needs. You will work closely with the Deputy Principal of Inclusive Education & Alternative Pathways to strategically plan and deliver educational leadership that supports the achievement of the College’s vision, priorities and goals. You should value teamwork, collaboration and positive working relationships with students, colleagues and parents and model this through your leadership.
Operational Responsibilities
As the Program Coordinator ILP, you will liaise with MESH Program Coordinator’s to ensure adapted year level teaching and learning programs and assessments are embedded into the ILP. You will offer professional guidance to all Integrated Learning teachers, ensuring they are up to date with curriculum developments, high impact instruction and disability informed practice the to support student learning and engagement.
Your responsibilities would include;
- Establishing and managing administrative and operational systems in the relevant areas of responsibility in the ILP to ensure the effective operation of the College within DOE guidelines and policy
- Enhancing teaching and learning outcomes in the Integrated Learning Program through; effective performance management, facilitating professional learning and leading the implementation of the College’s Teaching, Learning & Assessment Framework
- Lead data informed practice and a culture of continuous improvement within the ILP, building shared effort and commitment amongst staff to achieve this.
- Ensuring that the department operates efficiently and in line with legislative and industrial policies and guidelines.
- Leading the SEN & IEP planning and review process for students in the ILP.
- Reviewing the Schools Disability Resourcing applications for students in the ILP
- Leadership and support of teachers working with identified students requiring a significant level of differentiated educational delivery in the ILP and mainstream options areas.
- Supporting and tracking the improvement of literacy and numeracy outcomes for students through suitable intervention and differentiation strategies within the classroom.
- The management of student behaviour and engagement as the Program Coordinator of the ILP.
