We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Eglinton Beach Primary School will be opening its doors to the local community in February 2025. It will be the first school opening in the suburb of Eglinton and will be an inclusive school catering for children from Kindergarten to Year Six with an Endorsed Education Support Program for up to 50 children.
The school will employ staff who share our vision to create an inclusive school where every child can succeed. We are seeking to establish a pool of committed, resilient and highly motivated School Officers, who prioritise strong relationships with the whole school community. Relationships driven, staff at Eglinton Beach will work together to engage all children, families and stakeholders in developing a culturally responsive, inclusive school.
The school is located on a large site on Cerulean Drive, backing onto Heath Park. The school will have state-of-the-art facilities with a purpose-built Early Childhood, two double story teaching blocks a dedicated Education Support facility, library and undercover area. Specialist teaching areas for Music/Performing Arts, Visual Arts and Science/STEM will also be included.

The Role
As a school officer, you should be the first point of contact for our students, families, staff and community and as such, a strong focus on customer service is key to this role. Suitable applicants should be professional, positive and friendly, with well-developed communication skills. The ideal candidates should work well in a team environment, display initiative and approach challenges with a solutions focused mindset.
Suitable applicants will ideally possess strong organisational skills, a high level of attention to detail with great flexibility to move between tasks and different environments within our school and be able to deliver priority outcomes in a dynamic environment. Applicants with experience in enrolment procedures and processes, as well as operating a range of software packages including Integris, Compass, RM Billing and Microsoft Office Suite are desirable.
Responsibilities of the School Officer may include student attendance, undertaking reception duties, meeting and greeting visitors’, answering the telephone, responding to routine enquiries and requests for information, and maintaining school databases including records and management information systems to ensure they are accurate and up-to date.
