The College campus is a modern and progressive government secondary school in the suburb of Atwell, south of the Perth metropolitan area, accommodating 947 students from within the Atwell College intake area including 130 Education Support with both unit and integrated education. The Role
Atwell College is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Science teacher to join the Science Team.
The successful applicant will ideally possess a comprehensive knowledge of an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) level science along with the broader science curriculum, high expectations for all students, display a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and can establish and maintain a positive and engaging classroom-learning environment.
The successful applicant will reflect and assess the effectiveness of their teaching practice using a range of data, along with classroom observations to create an environment that is supportive to learning and provides educational opportunities that cater for different student learning needs. The successful applicant will also be highly proficient in motivating and maximising the engagement of students, promoting an environment of active and positive learning that enables all students to achieve their highest potential. With highly effective interpersonal skills, suitable applicants will work closely with students, colleagues, and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students.
