The Role
The successful applicant for the Photography Teacher position should have comprehensive curriculum knowledge and teaching experience across Years 7 to 12. They should be highly motivated, student-focused, and skilled in delivering meaningful learning experiences that engage students. They will ideally utilise innovative teaching strategies and work effectively within a dynamic team, with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, self-reflection, and professional development.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with students and staff to prepare and present exhibitions throughout the school year, showcasing student work. Additionally, you should create a supportive and positive classroom environment, with proven skills in behaviour management and evidence-based pedagogy. Your strong interpersonal skills will be highly regarded in fostering relationships with students, colleagues, and the broader community to help students reach their full potential.
As part of the selection process applicants will be invited to demonstrate Professional Knowledge, Professional Practice, and Professional Engagement aligned with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers in the context of the position and school. We use a variety of selection methods, ranging from presentations, written submissions, one-on-one interviews through to group interviews.
