The Role
Coodanup College is seeking a dedicated and innovative Teacher – Design and Technology to join their friendly team.
The successful applicant should ideally be confident in teaching students across Years 7 to 12 with particular focus on providing relevant and engaging Woodwork, Metalwork and/or Automotive courses linking to the Western Australian Technologies curriculum.
2024 has seen the opening of a state-of-the-art, multimillion dollar STEM Lab with an Engineering lens at the College. As a Design and Technology Teacher at Coodanup College the successful applicant shall form part of the STEM committee and assist driving improvement in the technological innovation within our students.
As a skilled and experienced teacher, you should have a commitment to excellence in teaching and engage in regular self-reflection. Another key attribute shall be the ability to create environments conducive to learning and provide educational opportunities that are purposeful and relevant, catering for different student learning needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment shall be well regarded, as well as a willingness to engage in professional learning and liaise with colleagues, parents and external networks to establish strong community partnerships. Experience teaching indigenous students would be highly regarded.
