We are seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - Primary for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Waikiki is a coastal community some 55 kilometres south of Perth and is a developing locality with a number of subdivisions. Waikiki PS opened in 2002 and was comprised of seven houses built as a temporary facility. In 2008 the dream became a reality when a brand new school was built in Arnside Bend.
The school offers a program of education to students from Kindergarten to Year 6. School enrolments currently stand at 312.
The school has specialist programs in Physical Education, Indonesian Language, Music and Science.

The Role

Ideally you will exhibit exemplary teaching skills, with a strong motivation to excel, and an emphasis on delivering best practices. The capacity to perform to a high standard in an environment characterised by whole-school connected practice, collaborative team structures, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth is highly valued. With a focus on embedding high quality learning programs, we engage in analysis of student data to determine priorities and areas for further improvement. You should continually monitor the impact of your teaching on student learning and demonstrate proficiency in utilising various assessment tools to inform progress, provide constructive feedback, and guide future classroom planning.
Experience in the Quality Teaching Strategy, Talk 4 Writing, Brightpath, Spelling Mastery, PLD, Prime Mathematics, Classroom Management Strategies, Explicit Instruction, restorative approaches to student behaviour, ICT and Digital Technologies would be an advantage. The learning environment you create should be engaging, challenging and caring, and caters for the range of students’ needs.
Applicants possessing a strong capacity to plan, present and assess differentiated, challenging and engaging programs, and have a thorough understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum will be highly regarded. Furthermore, they should be able to display how they have used data-informed practice to improve academic and socio-emotional student outcomes
