The Role
Successful applicants should be highly motivated, dedicated, and innovative primary teachers with strong interpersonal skills. You should be able to work collaboratively in team environments and demonstrate openness and capacity for learning. Your ability to develop high-quality learning programs that effectively differentiate to support and extend students’ needs is highly regarded, as is the ability to provide timely and effective student feedback.
Your experience in developing a positive classroom culture, which includes high expectations, will be highly advantageous. This includes implementing positive behaviour support through clear expectations and effective classroom management. We are seeking teachers who are self-reflective and continuously monitor the impact of teaching and learning in the classroom through the ongoing, rigorous analysis of student data. It is desirable for applicants to display an understanding of evidence-based learning practices, such as PLD, Science of Reading, Talk for Writing, Seven Steps to Successful Writing, Paul Swan Maths, and instructional strategies.
Experience in fostering a learning environment that supports creative and critical thinking is also valued. Successful applicants should display a commitment to ongoing professional learning and development, including observation and effective feedback, and be confident in using ICT to enhance and improve student learning. We are looking for teachers who create classrooms where students are engaged, challenged, feel safe to take risks, and are supported to learn. Building positive and connected relationships with parents is also highly desirable.
