The Role
As a K-6 Teacher you should provide a stimulating and engaging learning environment that is meaningful, relevant and developmentally appropriate. It is highly desirable for applicants to provide for students’ individual needs, delivering learning programs that challenge highly able students while also catering for students with challenging behaviours, special needs and English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D).
Teachers should utilise a range of high impact teaching strategies while establishing a supportive learning environment. In the early years, teachers are expected to use a balanced approach that includes both play-based learning and explicit instruction.
