The Role
We're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Home Economics & Child Care teacher to join our friendly team. The successful applicant should be able to engage students in a range of contexts within the Home Economics & Child Care Learning Areas based on their knowledge and skills. You will ideally have a strong understanding of the requirements across the Learning Area to ensure our students can reach their full potential in all aspects of their learning process.
The ideal applicant should display flexibility, collaborative spirit, and a commitment to fostering strong relationships within the school community to ensure the best outcomes for all students. They should also bring professional expertise to deliver Home Economics and Child Care Curriculums that are both engaging and tailored to student needs and interests, emphasising critical content through a fine-grained program.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work across Year 7 to 12, according to college needs, and bring their expertise to the Home Economics and Child Care Learning Area, ideally applying their knowledge of the Home Economics and Child Care Courses and experience in teaching Senior School Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) Home Economics and Child Care to help our students achieve outstanding results.
The successful applicant will work and teach in a team environment and should be committed to whole college approaches and initiatives and have a strong evidence-based approach to teaching. Adopting inclusive practices, and building positive relationships with students, staff and the community are important components of the role. You should be committed to developing curiosity, innovation, and imagination in every person through inspiring minds and learning for life.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment.
