Nyabing PS is located 320km south east of Perth and is part of the Wheatbelt Education Region. Katanning is the nearest major centre, 60 km west. The school services the families that live within the town of Nyabing and the surrounding grain and livestock farming families. Most of the students travel to school on one of the three bus services that are provided. The school is set in attractive grounds, surrounded by Salmon Gums and natural bushland.

The Role
The successful applicant will ideally be a passionate, motivated and skilled educator who is committed to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for every child, every day, through our whole school approaches, explicit teaching and instructional strategies.
You will ideally be able to display age-responsive approaches to teaching and learning, spanning two year levels. You may be required at times to teach also either the lower or upper year levels of the school. You will share in our commitment to inspiring all children at our school to reach their full potential and implement research-based Literacy and Numeracy programs such as Initalit, Spellex and Ochre Novel study Units. You will be committed to developing positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider community. An ability to take on a role of a part of the distributed leadership model of the school will be viewed favourably.
