Aspiri Primary School (PS) is an independent public school which opened in 2018. The school has 985 students enrolled and projected growth for 2025 is 1050. Our school boasts nature play opportunities and promotes creative play with a loose part play focus. We embrace individual and collaborative expression in our students to allow them to reap the rewards from their participation in school. A strong focus on students understanding their personal attributes, personal strengths and areas of challenge will be a focus in the future. We believe in equity and reconciliation and are seeking enthusiastic staff members who are willing to engage in a learning journey that embraces cultural responsiveness, privileging our First Nation People.
The school is in its seventh year of operation, and the ‘seven-year change cycle’ is dynamically taking Aspiri into the future. It is an exciting time to join our team as we take the next big steps in our continuous improvement journey. We believe commitment to improvement ensures our moral purpose remains grounded in student learning. We are seeking teachers who have a similar growth mindset and are committed to working collaboratively in year level teams. Aspiri was accepted into the Department of Education’s (DoE’s) first cohort of Leading Cultures of Teaching Excellence, and we are committed to growing professional capabilities to raise the standard of teaching and impact learning. This program will continue at the school in 2025.
We have embraced a distributed leadership model where responsibilities are shared among our staff and opportunities exist for teachers to build their skills as aspirant leaders. Enhanced decision-making, increased creativity and innovation, empowerment of team members, development of leadership capacity, and shared responsibility is a focus.
