The Role
South Ballajura PS is seeking a dedicated and organised Student Support Officer to join their team.
The successful applicant should facilitate opportunities to connect families with services and their community. You should coordinate allied health services processes on site and off site. You will also liaise with families to understand and provide support to navigate additional services and support families when considering student transition.
The successful applicant should have highly developed interpersonal skills and work well as part of a team. They should have well developed strategies and skills to deal with students, staff and families in a variety of situations. They will be required to implement a range of interventions, programs and initiatives that promote improved outcomes for students. This may be mentoring, counselling, conflict resolution, assisting in restoring attendance, assessing levels of risk, inter-agency linkage and case management. You will be required to maintain comprehensive records and adopt a collaborative and consultative approach at all times.
