Lakeland Senior High School (SHS) is an Independent Public School located in South Lake. The school is close to the city and situated near the freeway and Cockburn Central train and bus station. The Role
Lakeland SHS is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher – English.
The successful applicant will ideally use explicit teaching strategies and exhibit effective classroom management skills to create a classroom environment that is caring, differentiated and responsive to the needs of each individual student. You should be flexible, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to professional learning and a high-level of participation in collaborative team planning.
The successful applicant will ideally be a reflective teacher with a commitment to continual professional growth to improve their practice. You should also be highly proficient in motivating and maximising the engagement of students, promoting an environment of active and positive learning that enables all students to achieve their highest potential. The successful applicant should also possess cultural awareness and be focused on delivering programs to individuals and groups, including those students with complex needs and diagnosed disabilities.
