The Role
Southern River College is seeking to appoint a permanent Health and Physical Education Teacher. The successful applicant should possess a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. They should be flexible and adaptive teachers, able to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching.
We are seeking a teacher who is innovative and highly motivated, with the ability to provide quality teaching in the Health and Physical Education curriculum area. The successful applicant should have a passion for their curriculum area and a deep understanding of instructional strategies to effectively engage students in the learning process of differentiation.
Furthermore, the successful candidate will ideally exhibit a commitment to excellence in teaching and engage in regular self-reflection and improvement working collaboratively with peers. They should possess high standards of professionalism and embrace opportunities for collaboration within the school community.
The successful applicant will also be adaptive to teach in other Learning Areas as the need arises, dependant on area of expertise. Southern River College continues to be a school of choice with a growing multiculturalism trend.
