We are seeking to establish a pool of enthusiastic and passionate Mathematics for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period with at least one full-time permanent position available.
Kalamunda Senior High School (SHS) has an enviable reputation developed over 64 years of providing a quality education to all students. The Role
The school offers a full suite of Mathematics courses in Senior School from Foundations through to ATAR Mathematics Specialist. There is strong focus on Science, Mathematics and Technologies in the school with students actively involved in extracurricular activities and competitions in Robotics (First Robotics Competition), STEM (Horizon Hydrogen Grand Prix WA) and Environmental Science.
Suitable applicants will ideally be innovative and highly motivated educators with the ability to provide quality teaching in the Mathematics curriculum area and work effectively as part of dedicated team. Applicants should have a passion for Mathematics and a deep understanding of current research-based instructional strategies to effectively engage students in the learning process. Ability to teach at an ATAR level, including Mathematics Methods and Mathematics Specialist would be highly desirable.
Suitable applicants should be reflective practitioners who actively engage in activities to improve their professional practice. They will ideally possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be collaborative members of the whole school community, embracing the school’s vision, values and strategic directions.
