Kalbarri District High School (DHS) is seeking an energetic and motivated individual to fill the role of Primary – Science Teacher.
Kalbarri DHS is located in the coastal town of Kalbarri, 600 km north of Perth. Kalbarri is surrounded by National Park which gives us a unique opportunity to utilise our natural environment in our curriculum. Kalbarri DHS nurtures children in Kindergarten through to young adults in Year 12.
Kalbarri DHS has a stable, experienced, high quality staff, who provide a safe and caring class environment for children whilst presenting a comprehensive and challenging curriculum. The Role
The successful applicant will ideally work across the school, conducting science, digital and design technology lessons with students from Years 1 to 6. The successful applicant should be able to work independently and innovatively to provide high quality hands-on learning opportunities linked to the Western Australian Curriculum. As a leader of STEM in the school the applicant will be required to collaborate with a whole school team to promote extra-curricular activities throughout the school year. Ideally, you will be flexible and take on other roles as needed within the school and support other specialist teachers as part of a team. The successful applicant should have the ability to establish and maintain strong links with the parent body and local community to provide additional opportunities for students.
