The Role
Carine SHS is seeking a highly professional, passionate, and innovative Visual Arts Teacher to join our team, the successful applicant will ideally do the following:
- Deliver engaging and effective Visual Arts lessons across various year levels, including upper school Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) and General Visual Arts courses.
- Inspire students to explore their creativity, develop their artistic skills, and express themselves through various art forms.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop, review, and refine the Visual Arts curriculum, ensuring it remains dynamic, relevant, and challenging.
- Encourage students to participate in exhibitions, competitions, and other opportunities to showcase their work.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive and express their creativity.
What We’re Looking for: A passionate educator who ideally:
- Has a strong background in visual arts education, with experience in delivering a diverse range of art programs across different media.
- Commits to fostering strong relationships with students and promoting a love for the arts.
- Displays enthusiasm, innovation, and is capable of engaging students across a diverse range of abilities.
- Has high expectations for all students and a commitment to creating purposeful, relevant, and meaningful learning experiences.
- Has the ability to be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is dedicated to contributing to a strong professional learning community.
