The Network Support Officer will maintain the school’s Information Technology (IT) network to maximise both educational and administrative outcomes, within the Departmental asset management and security regulatory framework. You will provide advice to administration staff on technical issues associated with the network system. As Network Support Officer, you liaise with Department of Education Information and Communication Technologies Support to resolve hardware, software and network related issues.
Suitable applicants will ideally have recent experience in a school setting, with a sound understanding of SOE4.6 environment, Schools-Self-Service (SSS) Dashboard, expertise with trouble shooting Windows and MAC operating systems and the initiative to work with minimum supervision. Skills and experience with Windows desktop and server operating systems, knowledge of ICT best practices, Papercut, SIG, Creative Cloud, PDQ Deploy/Inventory software, interactive panels/ whiteboards/ projectors, IoT, MDM, ASM, MFP and desktop printer hardware in a school setting are highly desirable.
Byford SC encourages the use of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) by staff and students. Suitable applicants will provide support and training to all users throughout the schools including desktop and software applications and access to systems and resources. They will also provide input on system enhancements and implement new systems through research and identification of appropriate information technology resources.
Suitable applicants will support multiple schools and applications in person and may occasionally be required to travel. The successful applicant will be required to efficiently monitor, manage and maintain multiple school networks. The applicant should have a focus on teamwork, be self-motivated, and model high standards of customer service. Working hours require flexibility to meet the school's various duties and service needs.
