Narrogin Primary School (PS) is seeking Teacher - Health and Physical Education to join our regional school.
Narrogin PS is located within the Wheatbelt South regional centre of Gnarojin, Narrogin, on Wilman Boodjar, boasting a population of 5,000 people. Our school has strong established partnerships with the local community and organisations. There is an emphasis on pastoral care and health and wellbeing for staff and students.
Ideally, the successful applicant should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills within school and the community. In addition, be able to display skills in teaching Physical Education such as Fundamental Movement Skills and Health. The successful applicant should possess positive and effective Behaviour Management skills and have relevant knowledge of current curriculum requirements. Practical experience and examples are preferred.
The successful applicant may have other areas of student focussed responsibility.

The Role
This role will suit someone who is highly motivated, relationship-focused, and passionate about creating exciting, culturally responsive learning experiences to ignite a desire to learn in students. The applicant will develop student skills to build resilience and challenge self while working with others.
- Deliver engaging and effective Health and Physical Education lessons across various year levels.
- Engage in reflective practices to continuously improve your teaching strategies and student outcomes.
- Promote a healthy, active lifestyle among students through both skills-based and practical lessons.
- Work collaboratively with your colleagues to develop, review, and refine the Health and Physical Education curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all students.
- Organise and/ or host cross school events.
Additional responsibilities will include a time allocation to coordinate:
- school carnivals (with assistance from current staff)
- lunch time sporting activities
