We are seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - Education Support for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Riverside Education Support Centre (ESC) is a centre of excellence for the education and advancement of children with special learning difficulties. We take pride in the achievements of our students, the support and involvement of our community, and the high-quality teaching and care offered by our professional education team.
Riverside ESC accepts children from kindergarten through to Year 6 and we have a transition program that enables a confident progression to local high schools. The Role
Suitable applicants should ideally be an experienced education support teacher willing to teach across all year levels (K-6). It is highly desirable for applicants to have a strong background in Classroom Management Strategies (CMS) and knowledge/experience of trauma informed practice and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
The suitable applicants should have a high level of interpersonal skills and work collaboratively with staff members to meet the needs of students. Applicants should ideally possess the knowledge and experience of working with students with a range of disabilities and learning difficulties and the ability to support student growth, both academically and socially, within the classroom setting.
