Kelmscott Senior High School (KSHS) is seeking to appoint an innovative and experienced Coordinator - Student Services to join our dynamic Student Services team that is focused on creating a positive learning environment with student wellbeing as a priority.

The Role
This role focuses on student wellbeing through the lens of student engagement; attendance; positive mental and physical health; and coordinating and/or delivering preventative programs addressing identified areas of concern. A deep understanding of the role of student services would be highly desirable in order to collaborate with the executive team to set strategic directions.
The successful applicant will lead staff and students for the Year 9 and 10 cohorts, and you will be supported by a Year Coordinator for each cohort as well as a school psychologist, nurse, chaplain and student support officers, Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer and other support staff. The team is instrumental in building a positive school culture for students, staff and parents.
The successful applicant will ideally have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain the enthusiasm and commitment of the staff members in their team. They should be able to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of the team by continuing to develop a calm, productive atmosphere and a culture where everyone contributes.
You will ideally understand how to implement strong and sophisticated restorative practices, hold staff to account for processes and procedures, as well as implementing whole school positive approaches to student engagement and wellbeing. Ideally, the successful applicant should have capacity in complex case management, interagency collaboration, zones of regulation, tiers of intervention and positive behaviour support programs.
