About the Branch
Education Business Services group is the key provider of professional business services and support for Western Australian public schools, statutory boards and divisions of the Department. These highly valued services are delivered through the areas of finance, information and communication technologies (ICT), and infrastructure.
The services we provide set a strong and reliable supporting foundation for the Department. We understand our critical role in helping our customers to focus on their core business to enable better outcomes for our students.
About the Role
As the Director ICT Governance and Planning, you will support, lead and oversee initiatives and projects of strategic significance to achieve Department outcomes, while actively promoting cyber security awareness within the Directorate and to key stakeholders.
You will develop, maintain and improve appropriate and efficient governance standards and processes, and apply that to the delivery of all ICT services and activities across the Department. It is the responsibility of this position to oversee and direct ICT related programs and projects through the PMO, and to manage contracts and contractors to deliver Department outcomes.
To be successful in this role you will have an in depth understanding of large and diverse ICT environments, and be experienced in managing complex ICT resources, financial reporting, leading key projects and program delivery.
