We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistant – Mainstream for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 and 2025 school years. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Yanchep Rise Primary School opened the start of the 2021. Located at 110 Moorpark Avenue it will ease pressure on surrounding primary schools in the Yanchep area catering for 430 students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
Foundation Principal Ms Helen Demiris is working with the community to lead the creation of the school and develop a strong vision and ethos. A priority will be to develop strong, partnerships with our local community and the broader community to promote and sustain effective networks. The Role
As an Education Assistant - Mainstream you will ideally have a passion for working with students and have highly developed organisational and interpersonal skills. Suitable applicants should be committed to achieving the best educational outcomes for our students. This role requires you to work as part of a dedicated team and provides you with the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to our school community. You may be working across a range of classrooms therefore the ability to be flexible will be an advantage, especially as the school grows in size.
Suitable applicants will ideally be organised and able to use their initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment by maintaining equipment, materials, and resources, for use in classes. They will assist with displays and with cleaning and safe storage of items after classes and activities. Suitable applicants will assist the teacher with the care and supervision of students in out-of-class activities and on school excursions.
We seek enthusiastic team members who show initiative in adapting tasks to meet student needs, who continually reflect on their practice and who are open to being observed and receiving feedback to guide their professional growth. You should contribute advice and expertise; collaborating with staff to support and monitor student progress.
We seek Education Assistants who are committed to maximising their impact on student learning and who work well within a team environment. Our staff have high expectations and truly believe that all children can learn and be successful. As a member of our team, you will embrace evidence-based strategies in place across the school to meet the needs of students. Experience in delivering quality interventions such as synthetic phonics programs, specifically Sounds Write will be highly regarded.

Experience in working in a Positive Behaviour Support school will be beneficial.
