Kimberley Schools Project are seeking to establish a pool of Program Coordinators for fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2024 and up to the end of September 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The Kimberley Schools Project (the Project) is a collaborative partnership between the Department of Education, Catholic Education Western Australia, the Association of Independent Schools Western Australia and the Department of Regional Development and Primary Industries. The Project is designed to accelerate and intensify existing strategies to address low education outcomes in the Kimberley and underpins broader economic and social development in the region.
Roles will be based in either Broome, Kununurra or Fitzroy Crossing.
The Role
Suitable applicants will demonstrate exemplary teaching practice and a deep understanding of explicit instruction practices. The Kimberley Schools Project (KSP) has been successful in building a low variation model of instruction across Kimberley schools since 2018. Suitable applicants will be responsible for modelling effective instruction, primarily in Kindergarten to Year 2, but may also be required to support and coach teachers in Years 3-10. An understanding of the importance of data to drive practice and how to support teachers to analyse and unpack data sets would be advantageous.
KSP instructional coaches have a high level of interpersonal skills and require the ability to form trusting relationships with teachers from various backgrounds and experience. As a member of the KSP team, you will be working with high performing colleagues in a positive and supportive environment.
We are seeking applicants with an outstanding work ethic, a desire to learn and a commitment for high individual and team performance. A willingness to assist in the design and delivery of Professional Learning is also desirable.
The role may involve travel to remote school communities.

Eligibility
To work with us, you must:

- hold a recognised qualification in teaching and be currently registered or eligible for registration to teach in Western Australia.
