Southern Cross District High School (DHS) is seeking an English Teacher and Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) to join their friendly regional school.
Southern Cross DHS, located in the Eastern Wheatbelt, provides contemporary education for around 60 students from Kindergarten to Year 10. The Role
The successful applicant will ideally possess the professional knowledge, practices and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary school English and HASS curriculum. In this role, you will promote and foster student engagement and achievement through building productive working relationships with students. As a teacher at Southern Cross DHS, you will utilise evidence-based teaching practices and work closely with students and colleagues to achieve the best educational outcomes for students..
The successful applicant will ideally be able to work and teach in a team environment, work across the primary and secondary areas in the school, be committed to whole school approaches and initiatives and have a strong evidence based teaching approach. We are seeking applicants who can create a learning environment that is differentiated, challenging, caring and creative and that caters for the range of needs so all students may achieve and progress.
