The Role
Gilmore College is seeking to employ a dedicated Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) Teacher to join their friendly team.
The successful applicant should have high expectations, with a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. The applicants will be a flexible and adaptive teacher, with the ability to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching using the Gilmore College Whole School Instructional Model (WSIM). An ability to teach HASS across all levels from Years 7 – 12 is highly desirable. Applicants with experience teaching History to Year 12 will be highly regarded.
The successful applicant will ideally possess strong communication and interpersonal skills which will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community. The position requires the ability to build good relationships and be passionate about creating positive futures for our students. Your input in a high functioning team of HASS teachers will be valued and lead to potential leadership opportunities in the areas of pedagogy, sustainability and curriculum..
