Employee Relations are seeking to establish a pool of Workers Compensation and Injury Management Advisor’s for permanent and fixed term, full-time vacancies which may arise during 2024 and up to the end of September 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The Role
The suitable applicants will provide a holistic advisory service across the Department that includes details and structured advice to employees and management on injury management and workers’ compensation matters.
They will assess and manage an allocated portfolio of workers’ compensation claims in a responsive manner, supporting line management and the employee through the process.
You will also be expected to maintain comprehensive injury management case notes for an allocated portfolio of claims. Contribute to the provision of reports and recommendations to line managers on control strategies to reduce costs. Provide advice, along with high-level consultancy service to managers on issues relating to workers’ compensation and injury management and assist with the development of proactive and effective strategies, related policies and procedures to manage potentially high risk workforce issues within the department.

- Demonstrated knowledge of the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act and any other relevant legislation and experience in interpreting and applying this knowledge.
