This is a permanent part-time 0.2FTE position commencing Term 4, 2024.

The Role
Mount Helena PS is seeking a dedicated and caring Mainstream Education Assistant to join our friendly team. As an Education Assistant - Mainstream you will assist in the delivery of planned education programs. In this role, you will ideally need to collaborate and work in a team environment, possess good written and oral communication skills to enable the implementation of individual or small group programs, as well as display the ability to support the general health and well-being of students. Suitable applicants should be organised and be able to use their initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment.
Our staff work under general supervision, and autonomously, and may also be required to contribute advice and expertise, actively collaborating with colleagues to support student achievement. Ideally, suitable applicants will have a broad range of skills and strategies to meet the needs of learners with disabilities as well as a commitment towards improving student learning through ongoing reflective practice and engagement in professional learning. You will ideally show a willingness to contribute and maintain a team environment.
