Infrastructure Operations are seeking to establish a pool of Training Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2024 and up to the end of August 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The Infrastructure Operations Directorate is responsible for the development of strategic asset plans, policies and processes within an asset planning framework, long term land planning for schools and the management of the Department’s land estate. The Directorate also provides services to schools on security and emergency management, environmental services, statistical and demographic planning services and property management.
The Role
If successful, you will contribute to the development and delivery of engaging workforce training programs that align with departmental and legislative requirements for school staff including school cleaners, gardeners, and managers corporate service. A background in the delivery of cleaning or gardening workshops is highly desirable but not essential.
You will work collaboratively with the training team and key stakeholders to ensure the learning outcomes reflect the skills and knowledge required of the workforce. You will also contribute to the scheduling, coordination, and promotion of training courses, and undertake administrative duties, including maintaining training records, participant feedback, attendance registers and assessments.
The training courses are delivered in metro and regional locations. The ability to travel to regional locations to facilitate training up to twice a term is essential.
The Training Officer will contribute to a work environment that is safe, fosters equity and diversity, enables the achievement of personal and Directorate goals, and facilitates accomplishment of designated roles and deliverables. As a Training Officer, you will ensure compliance with the departments policies, procedures, and standards.
