The Role
Burrendah PS is seeking applicants for a permanent full time 3-6 Deputy Principal
At Burrendah PS we are aiming to create a culture of high achievement where there is a relentless focus on learning success for every student and staff members are committed to working together to reflect and improve their teaching practice. We wish to embed strategies to empower staff and develop processes for distributed leadership which create shared ownership of school improvement strategies. We seek a Deputy Principal with the skills, experience, and personal attributes to support this vision.
The successful applicant will work as an active member of the leadership team and be able to display the flexibility to work in different areas aligned with the school strategic priorities in the coming years. They will have a pivotal role in contributing to the achievement of our recent Public School Review Recommendations for Teacher Quality and should be able to display change management strategies, proven ability to achieve outcomes, strong interpersonal skills, and high-level communication to win over and unite staff in working together to achieve common goals. Previous experience in leading portfolios such as Students at Educational Risk (SAER), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D), gifted and talented education, and specialist programs would be considered desirable.
We seek a leader who is passionate about establishing and maintaining relationships with all staff, our parents and community who represent diverse communities of different cultural language backgrounds, and broader educational networks. Applicants should be a team player, highly motivated, be able to display initiative to solve complex problems, and will also possess a high level of organisational and time management skills initiatives.
