We are seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Hilton Primary School (PS) is situated on beautiful, spacious, sustainably managed grounds with multiple play areas and outdoor classrooms (developed by our staff and parents through our Grounds Committee). Our Kindergarten and Pre Primary teachers have specialist training in early childhood education and are committed to our Inside Out practice of intentional teaching outside the classroom.. The Role
As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you will work closely with Hilton PS teachers and the Deputy Principal / Learning Support Coordinator aligned with our teaching, learning, play and positive behaviour support processes.
To be suitable for this role you will ideally possess strong people skills and the capacity to relate to staff, students and parents. Suitable applicants will be highly collaborative and willing to work in a range of year levels and with different teachers.
We seek enthusiastic team members who show initiative in supporting class routines, who continually reflect on their practice and who are open to being observed and receiving feedback to guide their professional growth. Hilton PS staff are encouraged to contribute their expertise when collaborating with staff, to support and monitor student progress.
You are encouraged to apply if you are a positive and passionate Education Assistant who is willing to work closely with classroom teachers to help create and maintain safe and supportive classroom environment. Relevant previous experience, a capacity to learn and willingness to take directions from classroom teachers, will be well-regarded.
