Thornlie Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of School Officer’s for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2025. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year, up to the end of Term 3, 2025.

The Role
As a School Officer Level 2, your duties may include or not limited to assisting the Manager Corporate Services to maintain the financial position of the school, handling reception desk inquiries, enrolment, newsletter, website, assisting in Student Services and collaborating with all staff on daily operations with a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
You will ideally have strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide a high level of leadership and management and will be accountable to implement and develop operational processes ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Departmental policies and guidelines with regards to student enrolment, transfers between schools and local intake area and surrounds.
You should model effective and quality customer and administrative support service delivery and use excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work in collaboration with the administration team, school support staff, our school community and teaching staff.
Ideally suitable applicants will be experienced in using Schools Information Systems, Administration, Billing, Compass , MS Office suite of programs and website experience. A focus on teamwork, self-motivation, initiative, excellence in customer service delivery and administrative support is highly desirable. The ability to work under supervision, or independently is also desirable.
