As a School Officer, you will be the first point of contact for our school. The position is responsible for providing accurate advice and support to parents, students, staff and community members. Duties include providing general clerical and administrative support including preparing correspondence, newsletters, notices and other materials for both the school and its external stakeholders.
We are seeking individuals who are able to work independently and as part of a cohesive team. A friendly, positive and caring attitude, coupled with initiative and organisational skills, are essential qualities for success in this role. As a key member of our team, you navigate the demands of a fast paced school environment with efficiency and enthusiasm, remaining calm and adaptable under pressure.
In addition to managing enquiries, student enrolments and maintaining student records, School Officers collaborate closely with the Manager of Corporate Services to support and administer the school's financial and physical resources. This includes assisting with financial processes, asset recording, human resources support and administrative functions related to buildings and grounds. You will ideally provide invaluable assistance to other school staff members as needed.
Wanneroo PS is an Independent Public School situated in the North Metropolitan Education District. The school caters to 440 students from Kindergarten to Year 6 and has a long and positive history with its local surrounds, being established in 1899. Our strong school community works together to provide effective learning experiences for students.
