The Role
This role will suit someone who is highly motivated, relationship-focused, and passionate about creating exciting, culturally responsive learning experiences to ignite a desire to learn in students.
The successful applicant will ideally be a passionate and dedicated educator, highly motivated to work in a collaborative team environment. In your role as a Health and Physical Education teacher, you will deliver a curriculum tailored to the diverse needs of all students, fostering an environment where every student is empowered to reach their full potential. Your dedication to academic excellence and high-quality teaching and learning will set the standard for our learning community. You will provide students with a purposeful and engaging learning experience to develop their skills, knowledge, and understandings related to Health and Physical Education, supported by a variety of approaches to learning.
The successful applicant should have the ability to work collaboratively to plan and implement effective teaching and learning plans. Applicants will ideally provide excellence in creating and maintaining supportive and safe learning environment and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve their highest potential.
With effective interpersonal skills, the successful applicant will work closely with students, colleagues, and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students. Ideally, the successful applicant will challenge and confront complex and conventional practices to provide successful outcomes for students, and continually reflect on their own practices to enhance performance.
In the first instance, only applicants with teaching qualifications will be considered. Where there are no suitable applicants with teaching qualifications, applicants without teaching qualifications may be considered.
We will also consider an internal secondment opportunity for permanent teachers in other locations within the Department of Education who would like to work at our school for up to three years and retain their substantive position.
