Warwick Senior High School is seeking to appoint a dedicated, self-motivated and highly competent School Officer to join their friendly team. School Officers will have the opportunity to work in a variety of roles within the different administration areas of Warwick SHS, delivering outstanding service to our high school community.
Warwick Senior High School is an Independent Public School located in the northern suburbs of Perth. Ideally situated, it is a school with a strong tradition of academic excellence. The school provides a mix of traditional and innovative programs. It offers courses leading to tertiary studies, TAFE traineeships and apprenticeships and the workplace. The Role
The School Officer role provides a range of administrative duties. The School Officer is the first point of contact for our school they are responsible for providing effective and quality customer service, working collaboratively with the school’s office team, Executive Leadership, the school community, and teaching staff. The successful applicant will ideally possess exceptional communication and organisational skills including greeting visitors and responding to enquiries and requests for information from students, parents, staff, and the community.
Ideally, they should have relevant experience and capacity to undertake a wide range of support services to a high standard including but not limited to enrolments, timetable, attendance and other school reporting, finance, and procurement processes, Occupational Health and Safety procedures and requirements, and recording of a school’s physical assets and resources. Knowledge of the Student Information System (SIS) and RM Billing would be highly desirable.
The successful applicant will ideally have a good understanding of relevant systems within a busy secondary school business context. They should possess a willingness to adapt and an eagerness to learn new skills. With sound organisational skills, they will ideally possess the ability to adhere to timelines in the day to day working environment and be a supportive, capable team member. Attention to detail and working within the Department of Education's procedures and processes is highly desirable.
Ideally, the successful applicant will possess well-developed skills with Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to adapt to learn and use other platforms if necessary. Sound written, oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with individuals at all levels and provide customer-focussed services will also be highly regarded. Finally, the successful applicant will ideally independently or in a team environment to meet planned outcomes in a timely manner.
