This is a permanent part-time (0.4 FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2025
Beckenham Primary School has been an integral part of the local community for over 100 years, opening in 1912. The school is located 12km from the Perth CBD on the Perth-Armadale train line. Beckenham is a vibrant and nurturing educational institution committed to providing a stimulating and inclusive learning environment for students which is characterised by a diversity of cultural backgrounds amongst our student population.
Our school's highly dedicated and professional staff are committed to educating the students in their care. As part of this commitment to our students we offer a strong student services team. This includes a School Chaplain and Student Support worker offering pastoral care to the students. Recognising that the presence of good relationships between students and staff promotes a safe school environment, a no-blame approach is taken to conflict resolution using restorative practice techniques.
Our school motto, “Share and Care” embodies the values of tolerance, caring, understanding, thoughtfulness and selflessness which all contribute to a productive and harmonious school climate. The school is fortunate in having a diverse student population with over 40 cultural groups represented.
