Maida Vale Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
Suitable applicants will ideally be self-reflective practitioners who are committed to building a culture of professional growth and improvement. They should be committed to gather, analyse and assess system, whole-school and classroom-based student achievement data in order to make evidence-based decisions about teaching practice, with a relentless focus on improving outcomes for all students. Applicants are therefore encouraged to show how they use high expectations of behavioural and academic achievement as well as differentiation strategies within whole class instruction to engage students with disabilities and challenging behaviours.
Suitable applicants should also be able to display exemplary student-centred, evidence-based teaching practices that result in high levels of achievement and progress for all students. Our whole of school approaches ensure that every student acquires the core literacy and numeracy skills, as well as the knowledge and attitudes to become confident and competent future focused learners.

- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; and
- consent to and obtain a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
