This is a five (5) month fixed term, part-time (0.6FTE) position commencing Term 3, 2024 with possible extension and/or permanency
Parkwood Primary School (PS) opened in 1975 and is at the eastern end of the Fremantle-Peel Education District. The school sits adjacent to Lynwood Senior High School. Our students enjoy quality facilities, equipment, and resources to enhance their learning experiences. The school has a current student enrolment of approximately 620 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Including 80 children in the Intensive English Centre.

The Role
The Executive Leadership Team is seeking a passionate and committed primary teacher to join our school community. Teachers at Parkwood PS are committed to building a ‘school of excellence’ and will endeavour to create opportunities for every child to be successful. The sucessful applicants should ensure that student success, engagement and well-being sit at the heart of everything they do. Experience teaching in schools with a strong explicit teaching focus is desirable.
It is highly desirable if you have either experience or understanding of using Sounds Write Explicit Phonics strategies, High Impact Teaching Strategies and a strong understanding and/or experience with working with students with diagnosed or imputed disabilities..
