This is a 6 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 3, 2024.
Bluff Point Primary School is located in the City of Greater Geraldton, approximately 420 kilometres north of Perth. The school celebrated its 100th Anniversary in October 2013. Moving to its current site in 1965, the school boasts magnificent ocean views from the playgrounds. The school is comprised of a mixture of older and newer buildings with purpose built Early Childhood, Science, Visual Art and Music rooms. Bluff Point Primary School currently hosts, on site, Visiting Teacher for the Deaf, School Psychologist, Chaplain and Child Dental Health Clinic.
Bluff Point Primary School is a Level 5 school that has been successful in achieving Independent Public School status as of 2015. It is part of the Midwest Education Region. Current student enrolment figures are approximately 270 from Kindergarten to Year 6. With enrolments drawn from Aboriginal, non-aboriginal, migrant and non-English speaking backgrounds, we pride ourselves on our collaborative, multicultural and inclusive environment.

The Role
The successful applicant will ideally be a passionate, motivated and skilled educator who is committed to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for every child, every day, through our whole school approaches, explicit teaching and instructional strategies.
It is highly desirable that the successful applicant is committed to developing positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider community. They should possess a strong capacity to plan challenging and engaging programs using an excellent understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum.
We are seeking an applicant who is innovative and possess high quality teaching skills and knowledge. They will ideally be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, support current whole school processes and be collegial, effective collaborators.

- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; and
- consent to and obtain a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
