Are you a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Education Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity?
Katanning Primary School (PS) is seeking an enthusiastic Early Childhood Education Teacher to join their high-quality regional school.
The successful applicant will ideally possess a strong capacity to plan challenging and engaging programs using a thorough knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum. You should be committed to improving the literacy and numeracy outcomes of every child, every day, through our whole school approaches to explicit teaching, and instructional strategies.
The successful applicant will ideally be highly reflective in teaching practices and committed to evidence-based decision making and differentiation. You should promote a school culture focused on continuous reflection, feedback, and improvement. You will work in teams to collaborate, moderate, and develop programs of work that meet individual student needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a willingness to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external networks to establish strong community partnerships are highly regarded. You should have a growth mindset, team focus, strong interpersonal skills and be a lifelong learner.
An understanding of the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework is highly regarded; we expect that all our staff are culturally responsive. Ideally, the applicant will have strong classroom management and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) skills to successfully engage students in their learning.
Katanning PS is in the Great Southern town of Katanning and is a member of the Great Southern Schools Network. Like the wider community, our school celebrates its diversity: over 40% of our students are Aboriginal and 20% of our students speak a language other than English at home. We value all that this contributes to our development of confident, socially responsible, successful students with broad perspectives, developing cultural understandings, and an increasingly knowledgeable world view.
