Harrisdale Senior High School (SHS) is looking to appoint a dedicated Technical Support and Operations Coordinator to join our support team, and work in association with our administration to achieve outstanding levels of service to the school’s operational systems.
As a Technical Support and Operations Coordinator, you will coordinate the provision of student assessment and data, supporting operations that aligns with school business targets and objectives and customer service principles and practices. Provide technical direction, advice and support to staff at all levels in relation to compliance reporting for the timetabling and operational matters. Access, maintain and enhance the Student Tracking system including registering into the Student Information Records System (SIRS) and the SCSA to support registration,transition and enrolment processes. In addition, support the development, enhancement and maintenance of key information for school and data sets related to school level student assessments and student participation and engagement. The ability to use SIS, SEQTA and/or Compass systems is highly desirable.
Harrisdale SHS is one of the largest schools in Western Australia, drawing its student enrolment from diverse geographic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- Proficiency in providing administrative services, including experience in technical systems, databases support and executive services.
- Well-developed research, conceptual and analytical skills, including experience in managing complex and/or sensitive data to identify trends and issues.
- Well-developed written communication skills and the ability to prepare correspondence, briefing notes and guidelines.
- Well-developed verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels and to work effectively in a team environment.
- well-developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to deliver outcomes on schedule.

Eligibility and training requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
