The Role and our Branch
Swimming and Water Safety is seeking to recruit a dynamic and highly organised Equipment Officer to join the Swimming and Water Safety branch.

As Equipment Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all staff and programs in the Department’s swimming programs across the state have access to adequate equipment and resources to ensure the effective delivery of a high-quality swimming and water safety education program.
The successful applicant will have sound organisational skills, with attention to detail, accuracy and timelines. Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders is a key component of the role, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

2. Demonstrated experience in warehousing, stock management or a related discipline.
4. Demonstrated sound organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise, organise and complete work within required timeframes.
6. Demonstrated ability to use computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter.
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
