The Role and our Branch
Education Business Services (EBS) is the key provider of professional business services and support for Western Australian public schools, statutory boards and divisions of the Department. These highly valued services are delivered through the areas of finance, information and communication technologies (ICT), and infrastructure. Delivery of ICT services provides support for the Department’s educational outcomes by developing initiatives and technical support strategies to ensure all 800 Western Australian public schools can be individual, distinctive and responsive to their local communities while still benefiting from being part of a system.
The Integration, Build and Deployment Directorate is the functional area responsible for Application Security Implementation, Solutions Architecture, Solutions Development and Maintenance, Testing and Assurance and Data Management in an ICT context.

As the Manager - ICT Corporate Systems, you will manage and maintain contracts with private sector service providers, including staff onboarding, exiting of existing contract arrangements, termination notices, and contract payment tracking. You will also establish and maintain contract management procedures, which ensure the accountability and integrity of the contract management process. This includes contract reviews, service scope tracking, and management and escalation of risks.
Some of the branch support activities you will provide will include managing and leading staff members in the development and achievement of Division business goals. The successful applicant will monitor and manage staff leave entitlements to ensure accrued leave is cleared within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with relevant awards, agreements and Departmental policy.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- hold a tertiary qualification in an information technology/management or related discipline or equivalent extensive experience
- hold one or more recognised qualifications or vendor certifications in applications design, coding or integration and/or Change Management or equivalent extensive experience
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter.
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check if required
