The Department of Education is seeking a dedicated senior executive to lead the transformation of service delivery to public schools.
The Department’s Statewide Services division has committed to delivery of a transparent, streamlined, integrated and responsive model of service to better support school staff and student needs.
We want a leader with a deep understanding of the public school system and the needs of our schools, to ensure this new model of service delivers practical support aligned with the operational realities of schools. This will include striking the right balance between proactive service that enables system-wide strategies and supports the student achievement priorities identified by education regions, with agile, flexible responses that consider the specific contexts of individual schools.

About the Directorate
Statewide Services is transforming the way it provides services to schools. Its purpose is to provide services and support to schools and students that enable student achievement, with a focus on those who need it the most. Service Delivery is the key interface with schools. Its purpose is to plan, coordinate and deliver tiered and connected services that support schools and regions to improve student achievement.
The Service Planning and Coordination Directorate enables the delivery of an integrated service to support schools improve student achievement and educational outcomes, drawing the broad range of service areas and expertise within Statewide Services, and connecting this with other expert regional and/or external services as required.
About the Role
As a vital member of the Statewide Services’ senior leadership team, the Director Service Planning and Coordination leads and oversees the systems and processes that ensure requests for assistance from schools are delivered in a timely effective and streamlined manner. This involves case coordination, consultancy, advice and response for complex school-level and student support requests.
You will manage and coordinate Requests for Assistance from schools, and assess and prioritise requests in collaboration with other teams within Statewide Services to enable school-level efforts to improve educational outcomes and student achievement.
