Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year, up to the end of Term 1, 2025.
About the position
The School Officer is always the first point of contact for our school and will be responsible for completing administrative duties including greeting all visitors, answering the telephone, and responding to routine enquiries and requests for information. Suitable applicants will ideally have a friendly, positive, and caring attitude and possess the qualities to promote excellence within our school and to interact with parents and the wider community.
The key role of this position is to manage the enrolment process for students wanting to attend our school. This involves a lot of information collection from parents and carers and very strong attention to detail for the data entry process to create the student record on the school data networks.
You will also be contacting the primary and district high schools to ensure the enrolment application record is completed for students that will be commencing at our school the next year. This will also involve preparing for and assisting during transition days for prospective students and their family.
You will aid team members with maintaining school databases, records, and management information systems to ensure they are accurate and up to date. You will be working across a range of software packages particularly databases and word processing. A knowledge of Student Information System (SIS) is an advantage but full inhouse training will be provided along with online training modules that are available.
Applicants should possess strong attention to detail and work well within a team environment. You will ideally have strong organisational skills and be able to deliver outcomes while working to deadlines in a sometimes challenging and fast paced environment.
