Appointment Pool
Examination Logistics ECT is seeking to establish a pool of Senior Consultant - Practical Examinations for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2024 and up to the end of May, 2025. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within 2024, up to the end of May, 2025.

The Role and our Branch
Suitable applicants will develop designated Year 12 ATAR course practical (performance, oral, portfolio and production) and Interstate Language examination timetables in accordance with School Curriculum and Standards Authority policy, practices and timelines. You will contribute to the strategic planning and formulation of processes for the conduct, delivery and marking of designated Year 12 ATAR course and Interstate Language examinations.

The School Curriculum and Standards Division provides administrative and secretariat services for and implements the decisions of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority). - Demonstrated substantial knowledge of assessment and curriculum in the context of the Western Australian Certificate of Education and Year 12 ATAR course examinations.
- Demonstrated experience in collecting, assuring, analysing and reporting data in an educational context.
- Demonstrated highly developed organisational skills, with a proven ability to deliver outcomes on schedule in a demanding environment within tight timeframes.
- Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to generate appropriate procedures and strategies to address issues.
- Demonstrated highly developed oral and written communication skills, including the ability to consult and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- hold a secondary teaching qualification and have teaching experience
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter.
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
