About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager Sports and Events, the Catering Manager builds and maintains strong client and stakeholder relationships and leads the catering team in the delivery of safe and effective catering operations ensuring high quality customer experiences, optimisation of venue usage and maximisation of financial returns.
The role provides leadership to the team in the delivery of day-to-day café operations and catering for events across HBF Stadium, HBF Arena, Bendat Basketball Centre, Champion Lakes Regatta Centre and other venues as required. With multiple cafes open seven days a week servicing our regular users and catering for events occurring at our venues, the catering team is pivotal to the success of our business.
This is a permanent full time opportunity. With the nature of our business, regular outside normal business hours work and overtime is an expectation of this role and a generous overtime package will be discussed with the successful candidate.
Whilst the position will be based at HBF Stadium in Mount Claremont, mobility may be required between the portfolio of facilities.

About the Person
The successful candidate will have demonstrated management experience in a catering environment including experience in the delivery of large-scale catering events. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead a large team of staff are also essential for this role.

- Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience at a management level in a high quality, high volume and profitable retail food and beverage operation including:

- experienced people manager, ability to develop high performing teams across kitchen, customer facing and administration sectors of a catering operation,

- experience as an Approved Manager.

Employment Screening
To be eligible for employment with VenuesWest you must have the following at the time of commencement:
- Right to Work in Australia for the duration of the employment contract
- National Police Clearance
- Completion of course in Liquor Licensing (51544) and ability to become Approved Manager; or capacity to complete within 3 months of commencement.
- HACCP Food Safety Supervisor Certification; or capacity to complete within 3 months of commencement.
